Milky Way, Big Sur<\/p><\/div>Nice surprise this afternoon: a note from Center for Photographic Art<\/a> — <\/p>\n

“Congratulations! Your photograph, Milky Way, Big Sur<\/a>, has been selected by Brian Taylor and Bryan Yedinak<\/a>, for inclusion in the CPA 2012 Juried Exhibition. This year, 286 photographers submitted 1396 images. Only 41 images were selected for the exhibition, so you are in select company.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Wahooo.<\/p>\n

Such a treat – a Gift-mas present for me.<\/p>\n

I’ve been attending photographic exhibitions at the location of CPA since the 1970s (when Friends of Photography<\/a> was born) – never dreaming I’d have one of my photographs showing there. I’d just never considered myself an artist. The concept never crossed my mind, seriously never.<\/p>\n

And now one of my photographs is going to hang on the walls of one of the world’s most highly revered photographic galleries.<\/p>\n
