I thought you might enjoy this with me. Especially since it was put on by a Science magazine (NewScientist) in England and the theme was light. (I think it won because of my explanation even more than the delight of the image.)

What a gorgeous and profound photograph! Congratulations on capturing the “glint” glowing from or in this creature’s eye!
I really like this photo. The light passing from the back of the eye to the front of the eye shows the egret looking away from the source. The complex arrangement of light make this even more interesting.
