“Spectacular Surprises of our Monterey Bay Coast,” a collection of some 12 special photographs of our breathtaking countryside, are now showing at the Aptos Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Santa Cruz County until June 18th 2014. Opening Party June 13 from 5-7 (details below)
David Dilworth shows some of his favorite pro-tographs(1) of the magical majesty of our world’s most beautiful wild scenery.
“No amount of words could ever describe the emotional thrill of some spectacular phenomena I’ve seen so I have to try to capture it so I can remember – and bring back for friends.’
David only recently thought of himself as merely an “art appreciator,” but has changed his mind since getting rave reviews and awards. He has spent thousands of hours capturing more than 100,000 images and is amused to have won an international competition in London.
The work displayed includes:
Big Sur Poppy Scape
Clearing Storm Sunset, Pt Lobos
Rock, Ridge, Sea and Endless Sky
Oak Cloud Ablaze, Carmel Valley
Milky Way – Big Sur
Soberanes Fog Tsunami
More of David’s work “Nature’s Nobility in Award Winning Fine Art Images” can be seen at http://www.InspiringLandscapes.com/
There is a reception Friday June 13th to which all are invited from 5 to 7 pm at the beautiful Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Santa Cruz County on Freedom Boulevard about a mile East of the Aptos “Freedom Exit/Entrance” on Highway One.
(6401 Freedom Blvd, Aptos, CA 95003, 831-684-0506)
Notes:
1. The church will be on the right side a mile or so down the road (immediately after some pres-school signs). Don’t speed in the areas of these exits: Monte Mar, Buena Vista, Larkin Valley, San Andreas Rd. They are heavily radared on both sides of the freeway most of the time.
2. A Pro-tograph is a photograph made without using a negative.
