Canon's 120 megapixel Sensor - ASP-C size(August 2010) Canon showed off a 120 mp (megapixel) sized Sensor that could fit in a DSLR.
The sensor is 13,280 x 9,184 pixels, or more correctly “sensels” in an ASP-C size package.
This means it could fit in a Canon 7D or even a Rebel – with ten times the area resolution, or roughly 3 times the linear resolution.
