Two of my landscapes were selected by Judges Douglas Steakley, CPA’s Richard Cannon and Robin Robinson for display at the “Magic of Point Lobos”, The Carmel Art Institute’s 1st International Juried Photography Competition.
Beginning today several of my newest and most colorful landscapes are showing at Lisa Bryan’s Carmel Gallery on Mission Street near Ocean Ave in the “Court of the Fountains.” just down the block from Tiffany’s.
“Could I please have your autograph?’
That was a fun art opening in Carmel last evening. For the first time I participated in a Carmel Art Opening where my work was showing !
It was packed. Barely room for anyone else to squeeze in. 41 photographs and a couple hundred partiers.
Such a treat – Thanks to all you fabulous friends who came to cheer me on.
Nice surprise this afternoon: a note from Center for Photographic Art —
“Congratulations! Your photograph, Milky Way, Big Sur, has been selected by Brian Taylor and Bryan Yedinak, for inclusion in the CPA 2012 Juried Exhibition. This year, 286 photographers submitted 1396 images. Only 41 images were selected for the exhibition, so you are in select company.”
Jurors of the Arts Council of Monterey County just selected two of my photographs “Dramatic Flight” (a White-Tailed Kite) and “Mt Toro Snowstorm” for display at Monterey County Supervisor’s Chambers through Fall 2012.
