Jurors of the Arts Council of Monterey County just selected two of my photographs “Dramatic Flight” (a White-Tailed Kite) and “Mt Toro Snowstorm” for display at Monterey County Supervisor’s Chambers through Fall 2012.

More Good News: After a wonderful show, my photographs have been awarded an extended display at Big Sur’s Camaldoli Hermitage Gallery.
Big Sur lost Barbara Spring this weekend. She was a noted wood sculptor of human characters, creating installations until the very end of her 94+ energetic years. Her work is owned by numerous private collectors and public museums.

Update: June 18 Yosemite and Big Sur roads are all open. Yosemite’s Tioga Pass opened June 18. Big Sur’s Alder Creek opened June 9. Big Sur is open to the North at Rocky Creek (one lane at a time). The South Coast is closed at Alder Creek for another month, but Nacimiento-Ferguson Rd is open....
